Being drawn to colors and fibers lured Johanna to take an interest into textiles and their transformation. Elegance and femininity shining at its’ best is what characterizes the woman of Johanna Ortiz, as well as an invite to have fun with prêt-à-porter.

She studied Fashion Design in the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and further studies in Parsons School of Design. After several years she came back to Colombia to bring to life her first fashion “Atelier” where she started with bathing suits, beachwear, and evolved to prêt-à-porter. With 12 years of experience in the fashion business, her collections have been presented in Cali Exposhow, Circulo de la Moda in Bogotá and Colombiamoda in Medellin.

Johanna has been invited to the White House in Washington to take part in the celebration of the Independence of Colombia on the 20th of July. She has represented Colombia in the United Nations in New York in a fashion event organized by “Women Together”. Also represented Colombia in the “AIF International Designer Award”, celebrated in Taipei, Taiwan; being recognized as the best Latin American proposal.

Her loungewear line Pink Filosofy in company with Adriana Arboleda has had a great acceptance due to its philanthropic concept of ultra feminine and versatility through a social initiative. One of her mayor interests is to work with indigenous communities who have been displaced by violence; also with women who are head of their families.
